Defines a bed or lawn with a bit of styleThe corrugated profile gives a border texture that flat edging does not. Looks sharp against lawn, gravel or bark.
Hemmed edges, safe to handleThe top edge is folded over, so there is no sharp lip while you fit it or walk past it later.
Buy by the metre, no minimumOrder the exact length your bed or path needs. One metre or thirty, the price per metre is the same.

A crisp metal edge with a bit of texture.

Corrugated metal edging with hemmed edges, sold by the metre. Order the exact length you need, no minimum.

Plain edging does the job. Corrugated edging does the job and looks like you meant it. The ridges catch the light along a bed or lawn edge and give a border some character.

It is metal made for living outside, with hemmed edges so there is no sharp lip to catch your hands while you fit it. Buy it by the metre with no minimum, so a short run around one bed costs no more than it should.

Corrugated metal garden edging

Flat edging draws a line. Corrugated edging draws a line with a bit of character. The ridges catch the light along a bed or lawn edge and give a border the look of a rural fence in miniature.

Corrugated metal garden edging

The top edge is hemmed, folded back on itself, so there is no sharp lip to catch hands while you fit it or ankles when you walk past later. It is metal built for ordinary garden exposure, year after year.

Corrugated metal garden edging

You buy it by the metre with no minimum. A short run around one bed costs what a short run should. A long border along a drive costs the same per metre.

Not sure yet? That is fine.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is this edging for?

Giving a flower bed, lawn edge or path a clean metal border with some texture. It keeps the line between lawn and bed tidy and stops bark or gravel wandering onto the grass.

How does it look?

Corrugated, like a fine version of roofing iron, with a folded top edge. It suits modern gardens and rural-style ones alike.

What do I get per metre?

Edging to cover one metre of edge. Order the number of metres your run needs. There is no minimum, so one metre is fine.

How do I install it?

Mark your line, open a narrow slot along it with a spade, set the edging in and firm the soil back against both sides. Ask us if you want to confirm the fixing method for your ground before you order.

Can it follow a curve?

Gentle curves, yes. For tight bends or right angles, cut and join sections rather than forcing it.

Can I cut it?

Yes. Measure your run and cut to length with a hacksaw or metal snips. Wear gloves and file any cut edge smooth.

What is it made of?

Metal with hemmed (folded) edges. The hem is what makes it safe to handle and gives the top edge a clean finish.

How much does it cost?

$29 per metre. Delivery is free once your order is $60 or more. Under $60 it is a flat $22.

Are there other sizes or options?

One profile is listed, sold by the metre. If you need a specific face height or finish, ask us before you order.

What do the photos show?

The edging in place along beds and paths so you can judge the look. Plants, pots and garden props are not included.

Which specs should I check before I buy?

That it is sold per metre, that the edges are hemmed, and that the corrugated profile is the look you want. Height is not listed on this page, so ask us if your bed needs a specific face height.

How do I work out how many metres I need?

Measure the edge you want to define and round up to the next metre. Add a little for cuts at corners, then check your basket before paying.

Can I order more than one metre?

Yes. Set the quantity to the number of metres you need, on this page or in your basket.

Will it suit every garden?

It suits most beds, lawns and paths in normal garden soil. Very rocky ground makes the slot harder to open, so prepare the line first. If you are unsure, send us a photo and your measurements before you order.

How should I prepare the ground?

Mark your line, clear weeds and loose stones, and check for shallow pipes or cables before you open a slot.

Any safety tips while fitting it?

Wear gloves and sturdy footwear. The edges are hemmed, but a cut end is still metal, so file it smooth.

What if the ground is hard or stony?

Loosen the line with a fork and lift out the larger stones first. Do not force the edging against buried rock, since it will bend.

Can I use it as a retaining edge?

No. This is a garden border, not a retaining wall. It is not load bearing.

How do I look after it?

Nothing much. Knock off soil now and then and check it is still sitting firm after heavy rain.

Can I check it will suit my garden before I buy?

Yes. Send us the measurements, a photo of the edge and what you have there now, and we will tell you straight.

Is the price in New Zealand dollars?

Yes. Every price and checkout total is in NZD.

What does delivery cost?

Free when your goods total after any discount is $60 or more. Under that, delivery is a flat $22.

How long does delivery take?

Allow 24-48 hours for handling, then an estimated 5-7 days in transit. These are estimates, not a promised arrival date.

Can I use the valued-customer code?

Yes. It takes 15% off the goods. Delivery is not discounted, and free delivery is worked out on the discounted goods total.

How do I track my order?

Use the Order Tracking page with the details we send after dispatch. If anything looks stuck, email us with your order reference.

Can I return it if I change my mind?

Yes, within 15 days of receipt, as long as it is unused and in original resaleable condition with proof of purchase. A $59 restocking fee and return postage apply to eligible change-of-mind returns. Your statutory rights are separate.

What if it arrives damaged or wrong?

Email us with your order reference and a couple of photos. The change-of-mind fee does not apply to faulty, damaged or incorrect goods, and your Consumer Guarantees Act rights are unaffected.

Can I cancel before it ships?

Contact us as soon as you can. The voluntary cancellation policy allows requests within 12 hours before shipment and provides for a 12.5% processing fee. Statutory remedies are unaffected.

I have a big project. Can you help?

Yes. Use the wholesale enquiry page and tell us the products, quantities and your delivery postcode.

Where do I get help?

Email theteam@customersupport.care or use the Contact page. Include the product name and your question, plus your order reference if you have one.

Corrugated edging: the complete guide

3 min read LawnEdge New Zealand

Corrugated iron is part of the New Zealand landscape, and a corrugated edge brings a little of that to a garden border. It does the same job as any metal edging, holding the line between lawn and bed, but the ridges give it a texture flat steel does not have.

Sizes and specifications

  • Sold by the metre, no minimum order
  • Metal with a corrugated profile
  • Hemmed (folded) edges for safe handling
  • Made for ordinary outdoor garden exposure

Face height is not listed on this page. If your bed needs a specific height, ask us before you order.

How to fit it

  1. Mark your line with string and clear weeds and loose stones.
  2. Check for shallow pipes or cables before you open the ground.
  3. Cut a narrow slot along the line with a spade or a half moon edger.
  4. Set the edging into the slot, hemmed edge up, and firm the soil back against both sides.
  5. For a short run, measure and cut to length with a hacksaw or metal snips. File the cut edge smooth.

Where it works

Along a flower bed to stop bark and soil wandering onto the lawn. Beside a path or drive. Around a raised bed where you want a bit of style at the edge. It suits modern gardens and country gardens alike, and it looks right next to any other corrugated iron on the property.

Is it right for the job?

It holds gentle curves. For tight bends or right angles, cut and join sections rather than forcing it. It is a garden border, not a retaining wall. If you want a dead flat line that hammers in on spikes, look at the black steel edging. If you want rust as the finish, look at the corten edging.

Looking after it

Knock off soil now and then and check it is still sitting firm after heavy rain. Wear gloves whenever you handle a cut end.
